A lot of European governments fund their home-grown artists through grants, because otherwise many filmmakers, record-labels, etc wouldn't be able to compete against the US marketing goliaths. Even in their own countries, someone like Kanye will often get more exposure than a local rapper. So I'm betting that Mafia K1 Fry has gotten some grants to do their thing, but I could be totally talking isht. 2. True that! And I'm sure most of the world would agree with you, we got some straight-up gangstas running this country. Gangstas who spend billions to invade Iraq while spending next to nothing to support the arts... 1.
