Hey Lester!

Just wanted to say I checked out the show and enjoyed it immensely. I'm a huge fan of public radio, so I can't believe I haven't heard any of the barbershop segments before. I'm guessing Detroit doesn't pick it up, which to me is a real shame since it seems to me that this is definitely a place where that show would be a perfect fit.

Anyway, take care. Thanks for turning me onto that.

I agree with Tootsie. I really like Michele Martin but she takes away from the flow.

I listened to the segment when it came out and just wanted to state that Barbershop is my favorite segments on tell me more ( which happens to be my favorite npr program). Thanks for the mixture of analysis and laughs.

E.C. I agree with you on all counts. Jimi was excellent, Michele was in rhythm, and the topics were straight. And while I haven't listened to the final cut yet I think we even had some civil disagreements.

I'm not sure when we'll be able to download them. But I'll contact the folks and let you know. Thanks for listening.

I just listened to the show. That was the best show yet. A balanced mix of topics. The topics were in the news, but they weren't the most covered or controversial topics. This helped create a civil conversation and a welcoming atmosphere. I don't want another bad or boring political show; this show is certainly not one of those.

Jimi could not have managed this conversation better. And, I did not feel Michel Martin's presence as much as I have in previous shows. She came in and faded out nicely during this show. So, I think this one should be the model used for future shows Les.

I'm a fan. When will I be able to start downloading my NPR Barbershop podcasts on a weekly basis?
