Afronerd recently posted a similar report by Tucker Carlson attacking Obama for belonging to a Black church. Fortunately for me the only political shows that I watch on TV are the News Hour on PBS and various programs on C-SPAN. But I'm glad that the Obama camp has decided to take a page from G.W. Bush and freeze out antagonists with an agenda. The bottom line is that the media like any other constituency or special interest group has to come begging to political power players in order to be fed. Bush has a keen appreciation of this fact and it sounds like Obama is similarly developing a fine sense of how to exercise power over the media. There are so many media outlets and Obama is such a genial character that it's hard for right wingers to paint him as an insidious menace. He may be open to attack on other fronts but the spook who sat by the door isn't one of them. Fox needs Obama more than he needs Fox. Besides I think that Obama, unlike Hillary Clinton, has accepted that it's rather beyond his capacity to persuade or win over extreme right wingers. Kudos to Obama and Fox be damned!
