And by the way. I feel the quote about drafting good o and d linemen early they are the rocks of good teams, early '90's Dallas Cowboys anybody? The good ones you can build with and give you much more leeway to have a mediocre backfield if you have an o-line that can move the line of scrimmage.

But let's be serious, teams don't have to draft the big men early they can wait til later rounds to get the good ones, whereas a good position player can not only make your team a winner (if they're not a dud, but even Drew Brees duds catch on some times) it also makes for good marketing and hot like fire ticket sales, which is what most teams that are stuck with the first five picks care about anyway given that they probably didn't have much of that in a previous year that got them a top five draft pick.

Didn't Detroit draft the QB so-called phenom that resides on another team after 3 years of play. I think his name was Joey Harrington. I haven't much followed the Lions (because they're CAT - *LOL*) since Barry Sanders hung up his cleats. That was a great running back. I'm sure many a DB is greatful he retired. That way, they could preserve their ankle from being broken and left on the field. Herman Moore was pretty good too.

I'd say not to give up on the Lions (even though they are CAT) because a true fan sticks with the team. As a Bear fan (peripheral since Payton retired), I've endured some very disappointing seasons. Even when they were successful, they'd lose in the first round of the play-offs. Consequently, they lost this year's Superbowl.

The game was pretty good. There were some mistakes made on both sides of the ball, but the Colts played 60 minutes - bottom line. I hope you decided to watch it.

I don't know how stats. play out on selection;but I do know in the NFL you start with the line ofensive and defensive. You use your draft picks on the best lineman available, qbs can be attain from free agency if Manning doesn't have time to operate he's not successful
